The lumpenproletariat is the most underestimated class of all time. The idea that it is not politically inclined is a complete Marxist fallacy. The incel forums are a no-go because it has been co-opted entirely by young men who just want to engage in 4chan culture all day long.
There has to be some sort of topic that unites alll lumpens
vagabonds, discharged soldiers, discharged convicts, runaway galley slaves, swindlers, charlatans, lazzaroni, pickpockets, tricksters, gamblers, procurers, brothel keepers, porters, literati, organ grinders, rag-pickers, knife-grinders, tinkers, beggars; in short, the entirely undefined, disintegrating mass, thrown hither and yon, which the French call la bohème.
but I don't know what word would capture the lumpen class in an attractive way
