Originally when i started working on vintologi i put it in the "religion" category since at time it was not based on good evidence. Over time however vintologi has become more scientific and categorizing it as a religion is becoming increasingly misleading.

We need a category for belief systems not (yet) based on good evidence but that also have not yet been falsified, these may give ansers to typics usually covered by religion. For example we can try coming up with a scientific theory for consciousness, we can come up with theories about what happened before the big bang (if anything) and we can come up with theories about what will happen to our universe.

We can also come up with theories on what life will look like on other planets and make up all kinds of stories regarding that world.

We are seeing clearly how lack of religion is failing us. Today religious people are happier and have more reproductive success.

Political ideologies created as alternative to religion has often failed disastrously. Nazism and Communism has killed tens of millions of people (very likely over 100 million) and both were very destructive in other ways.

Secular ideologies such as environmentalism are often anti-natal making it suicidal for individuals/societies to embrace them.

The case for religious faith in authority
The form of governance with the best potential is to have an elite of 7 to 315 senators with absolute political power over society.

People having religious faith in their leaders will allow for effective governance and eventually a state like that will conquer the entire planet.

For example if you need to increase the fertility rate it will be a lot easier if the females trust you blindly to the point where they make babies if you ask them rather than you having to use physical violence or provide them with large amounts of money to incentivize child-birth.

Since a true elite will make decisions with better accuracy than any individual humans it will be better for society if people blindly trust said elite rather than trying to think for themselves.

x = probability of a senator making a decision
y = probability of the senator making said decision

As we see elite rule allows for super-human decision-making ability.
