Best negative reviews on steam
Of course most are positive but that's to be expected on a platform for cucks buying games full of drm.

For real they are sticking this disgusting Denuvo in this game as well? not only the game is highly demanding, but they're gonna screw around with this thing.
I don't recomment buying this game until they remove this goddamn Denuvo from this game!!
Denuvo is gonna be a big hit in your game's performance, just look at what they did with FFXVI.

Glad I played the demo before buying the game. The short bit of game play and intro tell you all you need to know about how weak this game is. The selling point is very clearly the main protagonist's goon appeal and not much else.
Kossori: Not recommended
I don't know what's worse- Denuvo, giving Sony money, or that console users are so Stockholm'd that this was a noteworthy game for them. Nier Automata with twice the horny and half the competency. The gameplay feels unpleasantly sticky, where you're waiting for an animation to finish so the game doesn't eat your next input. Best I can compare it to is Final Fantasy XV. Even Eve's hair looks like Vicar Amelia's door hinge fur rectangles, and staring at her is supposed to be the main selling point.

Based on the demo: shallow hack and slash combat appealing to US kids in red states that have banned porn. 3/5

Gooner fanboys drooling over this whack piece of crap. Not sure how this gets support but the game is bad. Controls are bad, movement is bad, key binds are bad, combat is boring and not inspiring. For some reason you stutter step before sprinting, you jump like a four year old, dodging is pathetic and puny, perfect dodge counter doesn't work all the time, so you know they're forcing you to parry only.
Thank god for demos.

It's a game for g00on3rs like those who like games like dead or alive vacation and Hgames. The only problem is, the gameplay is stale and bland. the facial expressions are blunt. the debris and explosions are unrealistic, looking like a PS3 game.
2/10 unbearable

am i playing a hen*** game or what? because to me the only selling points are the cute girl with sexy body and the almost naked outfits. the controls feel janky and confusing for me because of the weird key mapping and sometimes my character just does things on her own

One of the worst games i've played in a while, combat feels sluggish and unrewarding, enemies are dull & clearly generated by AI. Overall world feels like a scuffed unreal engine demo that's 7 years out of date and that's clearly been created for the console audience and as a result feels half baked.

lame excuse for an action game radiating a lack of confidence from a team that clearly only knows how to do mobile games. no style, no identity. skill tree bloat with basic mechanics you should just have by default and pointlessly infinitesimal stat increases locked behind it (imagine Devil May Cry wasting your red orbs for something like the ability to kick off walls that you normally have by default, or something like "your style meter increases a whopping 1.5% faster!!"), baby ass simon says red light-green light combat (i'm told it gets harder but it feels fundamentally unsatisfying and unresponsive, think Sekiro if it felt like you were moving through a pool of syrup up to your waist at all times), music is trying pathetically hard to ape nier automata and feel awe inspiring even when literally nothing is going on except walking, has that horrible style of writing that just hurls jargon at you and expects you to care and from what i gather the story is generic uninspired garbage anyway (THEYRE NAMED EVE AND ADAM THATS A BIBLICAL ALLEGORY SO IT MUST BE DEEP!!!) unskippable cutscenes, ugly soulless plastic character cast with no charm.
you know action games have fallen hard if this is what gets touted as a good one, i think sekiro would give the average fan of this game a panic attack, vanquish would make their head explode like that scene from scanners and ninja gaiden black would probably erase them from existence on the atomic level.
i think the only reason this was gassed up for so long is due to A. astroturfed political controversy from braindead woke vs. anti woke culture war cromagnons on social media (i've been called a leftist on the day of leaving this review just for not liking the game, LOL) and B. (former) ps5 exclusivity shielding it from the scrutiny of gamers with standards, since the average sony fan is primarily accustomed to action games that are all centered on spectacle and rife with built-in backseating.
didn't want to buy it before and this demo certainly did not sway me.

I was such a big fan of Shift-Up until they came out and told us to go fuck ourselves.
The demo does not have it but the main game will.
Edit: the malware is anti mods so it will limit modding. The malware also supposedly makes this into a online always game as
if it don't connect the to servers the game locks after a few days

GOOD if you're a perverted weirdo and don't know how a real woman's anatomy looks like.
VERY GOOD if you're a Fromsoft fanboy and hate fluid/responsive combat!
However if you're an actual human being, I don't recommend it.

The First Descendant & Naraka BladePoint, has better jiggle physics than this game, I'm disappointed
I was expecting the Physical Movement of the hips to be more Active, and the breasts.
I'll change my review when they improve that.
It has hidden censorship and people don't notice it. How sad is a game that isn't even online or multiplayer.
The nipples and buttocks don't move visually. You notice, and it has nothing to offer our fans. I'd rather spend all my money on First Descendant. They do have good physical movements for females. There, the boobs bounce great, and the ass too.

8GB vram? Looks like PS1 graphics and I tried fixing. Had on 1440p made custom to no avail, went to 1080p
basic medium/custom and still looked like PS1. Obviously not all, some environment looked off, but the far away (station?) thing looked really terrible.
Okay, I did change 1 thing and made it look detailed, but that 1 thing sent my vram pretty much 2GB vram over (10).
Unfortunately I will not be playing and will wait until a new GPU comes out. 8GB vram era is over and they are still making them. Yes, there will be games capable of handling 8GB vram, but games like this one will not. Visual graphics are part of the game that will make you play. A far away shot in camera distance that looks like pixels and even fire close up looked like garbo. 1080p/1440p
Gameplay mechanics, some don't like stellar's, I didn't get to fully try. I killed a couple and felt decent, still had learning of course, however, not bad.
I was getting well over 60fps, but it just didn't look good visually. Playable, but just not visually appealing to play. Don't want to play and get an overall mid to subpar experience.

Combat is easily the standout feature. The action feels fluid, and there's a satisfying weight to enemy encounters
Visuals, however, are underwhelming. For a 2025 game, it looks dated in places—flat textures, uninspired environmental design,
The story so far is forgettable. The setup is generic sci-fi, and the narrative beats haven’t done much to hook me
Exploration is another weak link. The world design feels shallow, almost like an afterthought.

can't even rebind controls as we see fit due to "photo mode" coming soon...... can we stop with this nonsense..... just let users fully map their control as properly or poorly as they so choose. Mouse and keyboard just felt kinda stiff, and controller wasn't configurable... i don't wanna fight with the game, only in it.... yes i am aware of steams controller mapping options, not the point and not an ideal solution in this case either due to multi layer menus being based on the button i need to remap now..., i'm tired boss

What was the hype about this game? Ah, right... Boobs and ass. I get it, it started promotion amidst news about upcoming or even released games with very... "Unique" character models, but so a more "classic" female model could be a breath of fresh air, but is that enough? Well, I tried the demo and it's kind of "meh".
Voice acting (English one, at least) is quite poor, around the same quality as English dubs for some anime. World introduction is not interesting (although, perhaps some cinematics are missing in the demo). Combat is... Fine, I guess. It has potential, does have a bunch of combos unlocked from the start, those combos feel fluid, but it did not feel as impactful to me as combat in Devil May Cry games (even older ones), and even with the combos it felt more clicking-fest with periodic blocks (or dodges). I remember DMC games being more engaging.
Animation outside of the combat also seems stiff, which feels very weird. Especially the jumping. That's like taking most physically-incapable girl, who never did any physical activities in her life and asking her to jump. You know like those parody-like scenes of girls running with very stiff form? Or maybe it's just me, don't know. But then they also pair this with traversal using poles, which feels very slow, too... But, yes, at least the cheeks and boobs flutter in the air, I guess.
But on the other hand, maybe I am just biased, because the game tries to be NieR: Automata, and I tried that one multiple times and just could not get into its core gameplay either. This pseudo-open world with endless resources collection for the sake of resources collection while attempting to tell a serious story. NieR, at least did have signs of a proper narrative design, even though it still was not my style. But the voice-over was better and character and world building were better, too.
To be honest, I would even prefer Bayonetta. I did not get into it back when I tried the demo on Xbox (360?), but it had... Style. Yes, the lead was also sexualized, obviously, but it felt more... I don't know... Natural? Like, the character seemed to be doing that intentionally, because she was confident in herself and her body, and it worked into this "I am so good, that I can allow myself to look sexy, while beating you up" kind of attitude. In Stella Blade, there is really no reason for that besides the hype. And Bayonetta (the game) also was not trying to take (or present) itself as "serious", giving us intentionally over-the-top moments, which is why I do believe it deserved the praise even I did not got into it myself.
So, I dunno. Maybe if you like this style of combat or don't know where else to find women in tight clothing... Maybe then this game is for you. But even if that's the case, I am not sure it would be worth the full price. Or maybe you like the resting-bitch-face that Tachy has.

Edit: Got my main game review banned by steam mod so updating this one. Sadly nothing will be done about how horribly wrong the way the extra content is distributed.
Do not buy the complete edition. The nikki stuff is codes and the only way to get those codes is to let the devs track your account and data for a whole year. If you decline them tracking you for a year you do NOT get your codes or items you PAID FOR. All of the goodies you would get from the complete edition are 3-5 hours into the game. You don't get your outfits you paid for, the gold you paid for, the sp exp you paid for until further into the game. You can miss all these items btw if you aren't careful and don't see the little box they are in.
The game stutters a lot compared to the demo. I do not know what they did but I am getting a lot of stutters at 1440p max settings on my 4070 ti super. Never had a problem at 4k max on the demo but full game has issues. Probs something to do with denuvo I see why people hate that thing now. Graphics and combat are good and story is pretty interesting so far. Over the preorder and complete edition items I can not recommend getting this game at full price. Get it on sale.
I'm so happy they gave a demo so people can know if the game is right for them or not. The graphics are pretty stunning and the game play is pretty fun in my opinion. I'm terrible at all souls like games besides dark souls 2 so my combat experience will be different than everyone elses. The boss fights for the beta were really cool with the lightning blades and then the little chainsaw head boss in the boss challenge mode. The only thing I hated about gameplay was the dodge mechanic. The dodge felt like I could only do it on one attack and then after that I was screwed which I guess I should have gone into a block, but i keep hitting b for another dodge that just wasn't there. I probs feel this way cause of dark souls and spamming roll but still I didn't like not being able to chain dodges.
Performance - The game is pretty optimized from what I have been seeing online and from my experience. I am switching between 4k and 1440p max settings with dlss and sometimes frame gen to get a feel for it. The game feels great on however I play it and the frame gen implementation is actually good. Just make sure if you use frame gen to get 60+ fps before using it otherwise it will feel laggy and look bad.
When it comes to the story I couldn't really tell you too much besides fall from ship, barley live, entire team is killed infront of you and you are there to save earth.
Characters were hot. Finally a game were you aren't some ugly woman fighting the patriarchy. I'm sure mod support is going to go crazy with this game and if that's what you want this game is for you, but I'm just happy to play someone pretty for once.
Def worth the purchase or to sail the high seas for this game. Download the demo and give it a shot if your at all interested.

Keep tapping F to read this comment.
Are you sure you don't wanna hold F to read this comment?
I wish I could give a neutral but since there are two options then it's a negative.
Pros:
- Beautiful and interesting environment
- Fantastic music
Cons:
- Suffers from the typical AAA condition that it can't decide if its a movie or a game so it's neither. It either throws in a cinematic cutscene or takes away the control when you're just about to let loose a little to play and explore.
- This constant giving/taking away control annoys me so much I ragequitted the demo first but continued later on. You must turn off the tutorials because they stop you at every corner with a pop-up with a presentation in it.
- The writing is bad. They throw you into a battle without explaining what's going on, who you are and who your team are. Then you see your whole squad eliminated while your character is on the ground and you supposed to sympathize but you just can't. There is no build up. At this point I just couldn't care less.
- I don't like the dissonance of the character: when you play her she is a confident fighting/slaughtering machine beating monsters. Whenever she is in a cutscene she's useless, confused and whiney.
- Input is problematic. It has lag spikes. Sometimes the buttons get mixed up, I dodge once and the attack button will do dodging for a few clicks instead of attacking. They couldn't decide if SHIFT should dodge or sprint so it does both and it's awkward to fight enemies. Can't use potions, I bring up the menu and whatever I click/press nothing happens. Input problems made me eventually quit playing because couldn't beat the flying octopus monsters.
- Fighting is bad. Most of your moves stick you to one place??? Why? Even in the air and you're exposed to an attack. It's awkward to fight.

I went into this game without a clear understanding of what to expect, though I was aware of the praise Stellar Blade received on PlayStation.
Having recently finished the amazing Black Myth Wukong, I'd rate this game a 6/10 compared to Wukong's 10/10. The combat and movement feel stiff and unsatisfying. The graphics are merely adequate, reminiscent of a PS4 Pro title, and the voice acting is similarly unremarkable.
In my opinion, there's not much compelling reason to play this, especially when compared to a game like Wukong. It simply feels off.

I really appreciate that they put out a demo for this game - too few companies do that these days and it says a lot about a team's confidence in their work when they do.
That being said, in this case, sadly, it convinced me not to pick up the final product - which is a shame, as I was really looking forward to it based on everything I'd heard when it released on Playstation!
But this is... boring? It's all style, no substance. Levels are flat and uninteresting, story is non-existant, the characters are dumber than a sack of bricks and the combat is janky and unwieldy - I constantly felt like I was fighting the controls more than the enemies (and I was using controller).
The game also loves to tell instead of show: the very first meeting between Adam and Eve is completely skipped, in favour of a few still images and a bunch of "hey, remember that time you saved me?" expository dialogue.
If you liked Nier Automata then you might like this - it has a similar feel, though significantly less polished. If you're here for boobs n' butt then you'll enjoy it fine. If you're looking for tight, satisfying combat then play Khazan instead.
Also, Eve sucks. Can I play as Tachy instead, please?
Edit: Thanks for the Steam points, simps!

Graphics and especially music is on top. Gameplay is one of the worst shit i ever played. Parry focused game with poorly telegraphed or really quick unreactable swings ( THESE TIMINGS BRO I CANNOT ) Also character moves like he is glued to the ground. Really slow and clunky feeling of a character. Also game really REALLY tries to copy Nier and makes it very poorly. And they want 60$ for this "game" Also includes DENUVO. Save your money and go buy Elden Ring or Dark Souls 3 - thank me later. Glad they did demo - not gonna buy this one and gonna sail seven seas.

I love Elden Ring
I love DMC5
I love Bayonetta
Judging from the demo, this is NOT for me.
The fighting felt clunky - as at no time did I get along with timings for dodging and parrying. Not only did the attacks feel poorly announced, but they felt felt offset from the last, which resulted in me eating just about every single attack. It's absolutely a "skill issue", but considering this is a demo, I'm not expecting things to get better than this.
The constant dying I wouldn't mind, but it kind of forced the bigger issue - cutscenes leading up to every fight. Skippable, sure, but even the skip takes long enough that it made me "nope-out" as I just wasn't having a good time, in spite of the great character design.
I might give it another go - but my initial thought is that this is way more sweaty-harcore-gitgud than I prefer.

The demo is protected with Denuvo.
The demo requires the latest version of the Steam API to run.
The full game also, obviously, has these things too... but why does the demo have Denuvo? No demo should have DRM, especially ones like Denuvo.
Update: Chromatic aberration option is non-functional. CA is always enabled.
Rebinding controller buttons is difficult due to multiple overlapping keys.
- You can't have ANY key be in whatever they deem as conflicting or else you can't save the binds.
- When you can rebind them, some popups will show a blank white square instead of the button.
Target switching is broken above 60FPS.
There is no way to simply give information in a review without also rating it up or down. Still hoping Steam adds a middle option. The game isn't negative, but a negative review turns more heads, sorry.

The Good: Nice butt.
The Bad: Movement feels awful combined with very jank hit detection. The combat is extremely underwhelming compared to PS2 era of action game, fighting multiple enemies just feels plain terrible and the game really wants you to parry all day because "PARRY GOOD" and blocking normally or just being able to dodge swiftly needs to be bad. The music, while nice and relaxing, is too cozy, the exact opposite of what I want in an action game. Then there's the heroine, Eve is extremely bland, dull and void of any personality. She can't even begin to compare to characters like Dante, hell she isn't even in the same league as Rising Zan.
The Ugly: It's a ryona game.
